MY FAVORITE SUSHI BAR IN HOUSTON and to think...I almost refused to go.

I was once fooled by the "mall sushi" name and cheesy logo......but then I had the......

NEMO ROLL - enough said.

This simple roll is made up of spicy tuna with green onion topped with salmon and special spicy mayo. So simple - yet so delish.

Every single one of their specialty rolls truly is special and delicious - you can't go wrong. The list of rolls is excessive so try splitting several with friends.

When available they offer sea trout sashimi - this is a must!

I know people say they can be slow - but they really are nice there. I came in with three girlfriends and out of nowhere the host sent us to their party room and exclaimed "Special room for special girls!". They ended our meal with an elaborate desert and we still don't know who they thought we were or why they did this (mind you-we were all wearing fleece jackets - not dressed to the nines) .

I will be the first to admit it has some flaws:
1) I like all my rolls to come out at the same time so I can alternate all the goodness. They tend to stagger the sushi. Try waiting to eat a Nemo Roll while its staring at you as wait for your Julie Crunch!

2) I'm no music hater - but I find the live pianist in the middle of the dining room to be way awkward and uncomfortable while dining on sushi.

3) Service CAN be slow at times BUT they always make it up with a free desert - and who can be mad after tempura ice cream? Not me! Maybe I'm a sucker....
