Sonoma Wine Bar

3 out of 5 Stars

I am usually down for a solid, elaborate yelp write up - but there just isn't too much to discuss here.

Here is my quick run down...

To call Sonoma a wine bar seems rather inaccurate. The vibe here is truly a pricey restaurant that happens to have a large wine and cheese menu .

The good:
-EXCELLENT CHEESE PLATE! I went with the Sonoma plate - 5 cheeses including a great brie, Parmesan, a sage infused one - I forget the others but they were delish. The plate came with proper accompaniments: bread, crackers, jam, nuts and a balsamic syrup

-Comfy chairs

The bad:
-We also ordered 2 pizzas: A marg, and one with shrimp. Neither of them were anything to write home about. Don't waste your time here. To me, they tasted like frozen pizzas however, I do believe they were actually made fresh -so that's just weird.

-Service was blah. The waiters came over when they felt like it and they did not seem knowledgeable about their food or wine menu at all.

Overall, Sonoma underwhelmed me. It's not like I wouldn't go back, but it would not be my top choice.

TIP - MAKE RESERVATIONS!!!
