When I'm "Hungry" for a light meal.....THIS is my go to!
I have been frequenting Hungry's 4 - EVA and have never been disappointed. I love all their heart healthy and not so healthy options on their HUGE "Mediterranean meets Southwest" menu featuring a variety of apps, sandwiches, salads, pastas and even fish (something for everyone).
Faves:
Hungry's Trio Appetizer - CALLING ALL DIP FANS! I can single handedly devour this three way party of hummus, eggplant dip, and curried couscous complete with golden raisins all surrounded by several fresh triangles of pita, cucumber and tomato. GREAT WAY TO START A MEAL!
Chicken Salad - I'm NOT a chicken salad girl, UNLESS I'm at Hungry's. I love how the chicken is diced finely here as opposed to huge chunks you see in other establishments. This is definitely a healthier option as its mixed with LIGHT mayo. I thoroughly enjoy the refreshing, crisp apples and celery in every bite - WINNER.
Bonus: They offer this salad alone OR as a trio platter featuring a crab salad as well as a fruit salad served on a bed of greens in a light vinaigrette - a great choice if you want variety!
For Veggie Fans: Hungry's has a great Roasted Eggplant and Red Pepper Pita! I substitute the provolone cheese for feta - DELISH
I can go on and on and on but I don't want to lose you!
Waiter service is always pleasant and prompt and prices are fair with most entrees under $10. A lot of yelpers ripped on the "80's decor" at Hungry's but I actually enjoy it. Frankly, I never even thought of it as 80's (sure, the logo is sea foam green and purple but that's where the color explosion ends). So, if this is 80's - it's more like minimalistic 80's versus Punky Brewster 80's (no disrespect to Punky).
Patio Lovers! Hungry's features a great wrap around patio with fans to keep things breezy!
BOTTOM LINE: I am fully confident when introducing Hungry's to all of my friends and Yelpers. A great casual, healthy and pleasant spot in Rice Village for any meal!
Warning: I often use Hungry's for delivery but they do take the whole hour and charge a minimal delivery fee - (I forget the amount, but nothing crazy).
PLEASE NOTE: Don't be fooled by the valet only service. Hungry's is still a casual, affordable restaurant - they strictly provide it as a courtesy to customers since they know their parking is limited. Fee: Tip only!
