Kin? Shin? Chin? Quin?
No one knows how to pronounce it, but does it matter?
Qin Dynasty is Houston's very best Chinese restaurant - 5 stars in every way.
Cuisine:
Qin is the gold standard in the type of meat / chicken they use for their dishes. Their sesame chicken is made of all white meat, very juicy, and excellent sauce. All of their beef dishes are tender, never tough.
Other standouts:
-BEST HOT AND SOUR SOUP IN THE WORLD
-Moo-shoo like none other
-Excellent dumplings
-impressive and unique selection of seafood specialties
-Shrimp and chicken with cashew!
Service:
There is usually a wait for lunch because the specials can't be beat. Once seated the waiters are always friendly, soup is out within minutes and your food always comes shortly after. You will never be stressing here.
Atmosphere:
The decor is pretty over the top (think giant statues) but the restaurant is actually casual.
Price:
Slightly higher than average. For example, the lunch special may be a dollar or two more than a sub par Chinese restaurant - but the quality makes it so much more worth it!
Bonus: They offer dinner specials for to go / delivery orders (think regular lunch specials for a dollar more).
Note: Their delivery tupperware is amazing if you are into that sort of thing =)
