Do you like Asian food.....YES
Do you enjoy vegetables....YES
Are you open to new experiences....YES
Then prepare yourself for a great meal at Pepper Tree.
I only go on the weekdays for lunch. Why?
You go FOR the buffet (that is only served at this time).
The first portion of the buffet has salad ingredients, fruit, and dressing. I don't waste time here.
The main event is the second half of the buffet.
There is no telling what this stuff is, just know that it is DELISH.
Here are my recs:
A) You will notice what appears to be a steamed mixed vegetables dish (with random brown pieces that look like soggy triscuits) - JUST DO IT - you will love!
B) On a plate along the buffet will be cubed water chestnuts and green peppers. SPICY but amazing.
C) Any of the fried options - I never said this place was healthy
D) THE EGGPLANT - OMG
Don't be scared - this place is worth a try and you will know what I mean after your first visit.
Also, don't bother taking anyone who needs encouragement or convincing when trying new things - it will take away from the pleasure that is Pepper Tree.
Bottom line - the cuisine offered at Pepper Tree is a little different than your traditional Asian spot - but once you get over trying to understand what you are eating....you will realize although it is not that exotic - it is way fun!
