Phat Ky is the only restaurant my family has consistently gone to for the last 20+ years (I can barely remember the old location, but they definitely upgraded). Most waiters and the owner know us as the small Russian family that orders the same thing every time.

Phat Ky introduced me to the wonders of the Vietnamese crispy egg rolls I enjoyed as a wee little tot and still do today.

After 2 decades, you would think I would know the name of my favorite soup here, but even now my mom describes it to the waiters as "the soup with white, wide flat noodles, shrimp, pork and fish balls. It comes family style with little bowls for everyone to enjoy. Add a few drops of fish sauce and you are all set.

Their soft shell crab is off the hook.

They also have these awesome special shrimp balls (think fried shrimp dumplings).

My family goes nuts for the duck, but I pass on that.

Back in they day, our waiters would complete our meal with orange slices. My little Russian family has definitely earned our keep at this institution and as a result we are now served the delicious green sponge cake all the other Vietnamese tables get! Life is good!

TIP - Stick with the Vietnamese entrees here. They offer certain Chinese dishes - but they lack quality.
